About Us
Established in 1994, the Riverside Reader is in its 16th year of business. Over that time our mailed circulation has grown consistently to the point that we now enjoy the largest mailed circulation of any free community weekly in Louisiana.
The Riverside Reader has strong editorial content which includes all of the following:
a) an editorial page featuring former Louisiana Secretary of State & Insurance Commissioner Jim Brown
b) a community calendar listing all the happenings on the westside
c) local weekly columnists from the communities we serve
d) local news and features you would expect to find in a paid newspaper
e) periodic special sections highlighting automotive, home improvement, travel, and medical fields.
Our goal is to be a newspaper with value to the reader and NOT be another “throw-away paper.” As a newspaper filled with local content relevant to our readers, our advertisers get the benefit of advertising in a Total Market Circulation paper that actually has a strong, loyal readership base.
From Addis to Lettsworth and from West Baton Rouge to Krotz Springs, the Riverside Reader is mailed to over 23,000 addresses reaching approximately 75,000 people each week in four parishes— West Baton Rouge, Pointe Coupee, Northern Iberville, and Eastern St. Landry.
In tight economic times, shouldn’t you be looking for the the biggest bang for your buck?
You’ve just found it.
Positive Content, Process Color, and Total Market Coverage at an affordable price.
No other publication on the West Side gives you so much for so little.
